Our International Schools
We operate franchised co-educational schools in Korea, UAE and Singapore and provide educational consultancy services to international clients. www.nlcsinternational.co.uk
A core principle for us in opening international schools is that they can offer the same education as exists in the home school. Our success in establishing new schools in highly competitive markets is incontrovertible: our schools in Korea, Dubai and Singapore have outperformed other similar schools established at the same time, both in terms of their recruitment of students, and (as students reach graduation) gaining best-in-class exam results. Both the UK and Korean school are in the top 25 globally for IB results (UK is joint 5th, Jeju is joint 22nd).
In November 2020 NLCS has been shortlisted for a prestigious Education Investor Global Award in the category “Education Business of the Year”.
NLCS Jeju opened 10 years ago and is one of the best schools in Asia – this year it has broken Korean national record for sending students to Oxbridge offers and achieved a very high average IB exam score of 39. For students whose first language is not English, it’s a very strong result: in the UK, this year’s average score is 41 and we are rated one of the best schools for IB diploma outcomes globally.
“I am proud of the fruitful partnership that we have built with NLCS Enterprises, and believe that, together, we have created an exceptional school that provides an inspirational programme for our students.”
– Lee Kwang-hee, chairman of the JDC, NLCS’s franchise partner in Korea
Both NLCS Dubai and NLCS Singapore outcompeted their local peers on student enrolment. The first graduating cohort at NLCS Dubai achieved the average IB exam score of 37.
At the time of the opening Dr Abdulla Al Karam, director general of Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), which oversees international schools in the emirate, described the school as: “Parents choose a school sometimes because of the price point or because other children go there, or have seen ratings on the website. The 250 kids and parents have chosen this school because they have done their research and know they will not find this kind of education anywhere else here. It is important they have the choices to help keep these people in Dubai.”
Unlike many other schools NLCS has a dedicated international support team, led by very experienced educators and professional business managers. Our support team is co-located with NLCS (UK), working in close contact with the London school. Here is the link to our group exam results: https://www.nlcs.org.uk/news/2020-09-25/NLCS-schools-celebrate-impressive-set-of-IB-results . The narrow gap in the exam results between the branch schools and the mother school is the best testament to the strength of our franchise model.
We are now looking for partners across the US to open schools.
Currently NLCS has no FDD and is only looking for expressions of interest. Contact us to find out more.
