Island Poké was born out of the frustration for the rather boring, monotonous everyday lunch scene. Its mission is to push the boundaries of “grab ‘n’ go” with innovative bowls, unique Aloha service and high energy atmosphere.
Island Poké opened in November 2016, and from the first site has proved a repetition high profitable business model. Since then we have opened 8 sites in prime locations across London. We have a pipeline of multiple other opportunities across London and in major travel hubs targeting 5 new sites per year.
We have recently signed our first franchise partners targeting 42 stores across France, Belgium and Netherland. Early this year we have developed a unique app for enhancing customer experience, online ordering and building loyalty. We are also developing a ‘poke robot’ with global exclusive rights on its use.
We remain the market leader and most innovative Poké concept in the market; all franchise information and support has been prepared ready for distribution.
Reasons for success: Ability to target lower rent sites, with A1 units. No reliance on expensive chefs, thus we achieve a low labour cost of around 19% avg. Low CAPEX, with inexpensive kitchen between 100k-300k. Simple and easy menu to execute operationally and ability to bulk buy with economies of scale. Global appeal and very visual product making it very fitting to generate traction on social media. Utilising and innovative technology, with own app and click and collect website, and in developing a ‘Poke robot’ that we have global exclusivity to ready early 2020. Highly scalable and multi format from kiosk, robotic to flag ship store.
