International franchisees secure the right to operate in an exclusive country and may have the ability to sub-franchise within that country.
Duck Donuts is looking for prospective international franchisees who have management and business experience, with strong operational and financial resources.
The International Franchise Program Offers: Exclusive development rights; initial development fee; unit fee at opening of locations; 10-year agreement; agreed upon development schedule; monthly royalty fee; initial and ongoing training in-country.
A potential international franchisee must provide a comprehensive and detailed 3-to-5-year business plan, which includes a management team that is devoted 100% to the development and operation of the Duck Donuts business. Training for the management team is accomplished through a 4-week training program conducted by Duck Donuts training personnel. The training program consists of 2 weeks in an existing market and 2 weeks in country.
The international franchise fee will vary by market and is based on a cost recovery calculation and market potential of the number of units possible in a market. These fees do not include any development or start-up costs for the locations or working capital. There is no additional fee for initial training, any agreed equipment and supplies are to be purchased separately.
